Opens with a broken test as per @gr2m recommendation so conversations can start around setting up a defaultBranch option. New to this codebase so would love suggestions / assistance.
This PR intends to address #1581 "Add main as default branch", by way of allowing the default branch to be custom set as discussed over on that issue.
