I can't paste files in discussions and issues. #123459

GitHub’s functionality for attaching files in discussions and issues doesn’t support all file types. As a first step, I recommend testing your copy-paste functionality in a different application, such as Notepad, to rule out any local issues with your clipboard. If that works, try pasting a simple image into a GitHub discussion or issue. If you’re still unable to paste, then it’s likely an issue with GitHub’s file handling. |

Why doesn't it support mp4 for pasting but supports png? |

Well when it comes to binary files like MP4s, GitHub does support uploading them, but not through copy-pasting. |
