Since the last VSCode update I got (1.89.1), I can no longer use Copilot. It fails to initialize with the following error:

This is on remote WSL1.

I found the following workaround:

1. Open the file ~/.vscode-server/extensions/github.copilot-1.188.867/dist/extension.js and search for create(t,a=process.versions){if(!(0,Ipe.lt)(a.electron,"28.2.5"))
2. Insert ??'0.0.0' after a.electron so it looks like this now: create(t,a=process.versions){if(!(0,Ipe.lt)(a.electron??'0.0.0',"28.2.5"))
3. Save and restart VS Code

The workaround also applies to version 1.189.0 of copilot with "Last released 2024-05-10, 23:14:32" and "Last updated
2024-05-11, 03:17:13".

Just change the copilot version in the path, which should be ~/.vscode-server/extensions/github.copilot-1.189.0/dist/extension.js if you just updated copilot extension to version 1.189.0.

Sorry about this. The fix for this issue is out on version 1.190.0 Same issue as discussed here https://github.com/orgs/community/discussions/123301
