md-select get items using key board typing

Bug, feature request, or proposal: Currently keybord typing values are not focusing on data list popup. this feature is available in Anjular1 material.

What is the expected behavior?

Select Item in md-select when type keyboard characters.

What is the current behavior?

Nothing happens when type characters after selecting md-select
